Winter Evening (diptych) 2015 laminated particle board, oil pastel (565Х265)Х2

The theme of the picture is frequent and long-term “sittings” of the artist in the room of his grandmother (an age-mate of the October Revolution) since he has assumed the care of her. The artist draws a parallel with a character from the Silmarillion by J. R. R. Tolkien - Túrin son of Húrin who likewise killed time in the cave on Amon Rúdh listening to the stories of Mîm the Petty-dwarf about his life.
