Why Graphite is a King?
The concept of “King Graphite” is based on the reverent attitude of the Artist towards the Substance, from which all things are created, and, in particular, the substance used as an artistic material. The Artist considers it equally important what he is drawing, what he is drawing on, and what he is drawing with.
For the Artist, the Graphite is the head of the substances’ family also due to the fact that diversity of the fossil carbon’s features necessarily boggles the imagination of a schoolboy who suddenly discovers that the same letter C stands for coal, diamond, and graphite.
Graphite’s kingdom possesses energy sources, pharmaceutical drugs, writing materials, precision instruments, and jewelry. The same substance has been used to create a lead of the pencil, with which one can write a product list before going to the market, and the diamond sparkling on the King’s crown.
Thus, Graphite can do everything (“The Kings can do everything”).
