Time Train 2015 laminated particle board, oil pastel 560×1300
In the upper part, one can see the landscape of a Moscow suburbs street with the exit of a metro station. To the left from escalator of this station, the characters of Jules Verne continue their journey to the center of the Earth. The middle part of the picture represents a story from Parzival, the novel by Wolfram von Eschenbach: Parzival meets the Fisher King that shows him the way to the castle of the Grail. The metro train finds its path in the depths of the Earth between the time layers. Subject of Paul Gauguin's Nevermore in the lower part of the picture reminds us of the great painter’s search for original bonds between the human body and the body of the Earth.
